About
Terence Paul Stewart, the Founder and Owner of Native Restorations, has a lifelong connection with the South Island of New Zealand, where he grew up exploring its landscapes through hunting and fishing. At 19, he pursued a position with the Department of Conservation's (DOC) pest control team, driven by his love for the outdoors.

During his five years at DOC, Terence worked on protecting endangered species and assisting specialists in pest control and track-cutting across various regions. However, a severe fall left him almost paralyzed and sidelined for eight years, during which he turned to art as a form of therapy and structure.

Following his recovery, Terence transitioned to high country fencing and began his journey into pest weed control. Over time, he established Native Restorations, now comprising a team of eight passionate individuals dedicated to nature conservation.

Together, they work tirelessly to preserve and restore New Zealand's natural ecosystems, driven by a shared love for the wilderness and a commitment to making a positive impact.
Welcome to Native Restorations, where dedication meets conservation.
